Peaks & Pasties
They're called Peaks & Pasties and the den mother for these crazy ladies (and a few gentlemen) is Lola Spitfire, who is solely responsible for putting together and bringing to Colorado Springs, the first and only real live "BRURLESQE" troop, in all it glory. As for me … well, as usual, I’m just the guy behind the camera. However, I also want to say that after getting to know these kids, I don’t mind calling them my friends.
They’re a bunch of bawdy, sexy, damn funny, mimes, dancers, singers and vaudevillian performers who consistently pack the house, delight their audiences ... and did I mention they also juggle things and play with fire? Well, they do all that, and more ... In the flavor and fashion of the true, old fashion burlesque ... Peaks & Pasties accomplish all the above while NOT removing just enough clothes to avoid being arrested.
